Homestead Exemptions
January 1st has come and gone and it is now time for all homeowners that purchased homes as primary residences to file for a Homestead exemption. This exemption allows the home owner to save hundreds of dollars in property taxes.
Filing you homestead is quick, easy, and painless. Simply complete a short form and mail it back to the appropriate county. Most counties offer this service online. There is NO CHARGE to do this. Several companies will try to charge for this service. You do not have to pay them for this service. Do it yourself.
